Skills & Drills Workshop Series: Workshops are broken down into 20 minute videos. Each individual series has a specific focus.
(1) Primal Balance:Body Mapping with Jessica LaFalce
In this class we explore the skill of body mapping. Utilizing the drills of danda walks, pelvic and spinal mapping, dive and rise and atlantooccipital embodiment; you will gain an improved sense of balance and joint mechanics when you ambulate.
(2) Primal Balance: Orient to your Environment with Jessica LaFalce
In the class we explore the skills of interoception, proprioception and the vestibular sense system. We utilize the drills of: go-arounds, starfish, pendulums and gaze stabilization to bolster your physical, mental and emotional resilience to changes in your internal and external environment.
(3) Primal Balance: Use it or Lose it with Jessica LaFalce
In the class we explore the skills of ground reaction force and push/pull. We utilize the drills of squat to stand, squat to kneel, roll overs, lunge ups and squat dog to plank to improve your overall sense of strength and stability when going to/from the floor intentionally. You will also learn how to safely recover from going to the ground unintentionally.
Jessica is a certified P.V. teacher and a licensed Physical Therapist Assistant. She has been practicing PT for over 13 years and has recently made the switch to full time movement/yoga therapist. She is most excited for this change as she can now guide her students and clients to their fullest potential utilizing the ancient practices of yoga and the modern techniques of therapy.
